One question - Does it overload REAPER if you had say 24 instances of RS5K on a single track? That whole concept just concerns me in terms of CPU - but i guess i need to try it and see really. I love the thought of being able to use the REAPER timeline to edit first and pop it across the keyboard so quickly. Oh that looks really interesting, thanks a bunch for explaining it. Usable midi cc controls over ADSR controls (they can be learned, but they're unusable in their current incarnation due)Įasy ability to control multiple instance parameters simultaneously (MPL RS5k manager starts to help this via "common controls" but all i see is pitch offset there and we need all of it. Notable exceptions of what RS5K is missing: I don't use this for keyboard patches or ROMpler stuff like Kontakt etc I use this instead of Bliss, which is a good plugin but is sadly underdeveloped, to do monome style MLR beat juggling, and other Push/Maschine/MPC style stuff ![]() My favorite MPL script is "Script: mpl_Export selected items to RS5k instances on selected a"ġ- load a sample into REAPER arrange viewĢ- slice it up in the order you want it assigned to your padsģ- copy your slices and move them later in the project (or to a muted track - this is just a backup)ĥ- enter whatever start note you want in the popupĪnd boom, you then have any number of RS5K instances loaded to your track/controller/whatever ![]() ReaPack video here by Reaperblog (if you're new, you want to watch all of these) ![]() MPL is a REAPER user who releases a bunch of good scripts. it's deceptively small and simple looking, but as far as samplers go, with a few exceptions, it contains almost anything you could want if you use multiple instances. Sure - RS5K = reasamplomatic, REAPER's built in oneshot sampler VST.
